Clean Your Hardwood Floors

You can’t beat hardwood floors….they are gorgeous and low-maintenance.  But only if you take good care of them.  If you neglect your hardwood floors, you could have problems later.  Such as premature aging, which will reduce it’s useful life and beauty.

Beautiful Floors

You need to clean your hardwoods floors daily to keep them looking spotless and fresh.  Dirt, dust, sand and grit should never get a chance to attack your floors.  However, we all know that we will run into everyday dirt and grime.  From red wine, to mud, to coffee, to urine, your floor will come face to face with many different types of stains.

A Damaged Floor…….

Bad Hardwood Floor

Different parts of the country will experience the wild weather of WINTER soon!  Winter brings a lot of stuff into the house that can damage hardwood floors – salt, grime, water from melting snow and ice.

Take notice of the condition of your floors and put a plan together to get them back to that clean and like new look.

Now to clean your hardwood floors and maintain that like new finish, you need to avoid oil soaps and harsh cleaners.  Use a neautral pH floor cleaner and water.  Do not soak the floor, use a half dry mop with the floor cleaner.  Depending on the traffic on your hardwood floors you may need to give your floors a good mopping weekly.

We have a Floor Care Kit to clean and shine your hardwood floors, that includes a pH7 Neutral Floor Cleaner.

About susanmorrison

After living in Walpole, MA for many years, our family was transferred to the west coast when I was a senior in high school. In 1983, I graduated from Mission San Jose High School in Fremont, California. I am also a 1987 graduate of Providence College with a major in liberal arts and a minor in business administration. I bring to the table many years of sales experience beginning with thirteen years in Corporate Sales at Delta Air Lines. I'm the mother of three children and I'm very active within the Franklin, MA community. I am also a cancer survivor and support the American Cancer Society Charities.

My husband and I have built five homes and I've lived in a variety of other locations including Toronto Canada, Irving Texas and my current home in Franklin, MA. As a result of all my moving around, I came to the conclusion that I was an expert at moving...why not become an expert on the other side of the table? I earned my real estate license in 2004 and believe that I have found my true niche'. I can empathize with my clients on a variety of levels; whether they are buying or selling. And, like so many other good realtors out there, I believe that possessing good communication skills is one of the many keys to success.
