Never Discount The Value Of A Well Versed Buyers’ Agent !!!!!

I enjoy working with buyers as a buyers’ agent.  I also have a variety of listings in my inventory of homes to market.  It’s a healthy balance for me.  That’s how I like to work.

Via Barbara Todaro (RE/MAX Executive Realty in Franklin, Ma):

After reading and responding to many comments on a post I wrote titled “Need To Balance Your Time? Listing Agents Can Do That” I need to somewhat neutralize that post with another thought.  I continue to be of the opinion that listings are the name of the game.  However, I am not discounting the value of a well versed, highly skilled buyers’ agent.

Without buyers’ agents we, as listing agents, are sitting in a boat in the middle of the lake without any paddles.  We are listing agents who are stranded on our own little island with no way off.  Without buyer agents, we are between a stone and a hard place.

A good listing agent will always market to buyer agents.  We are the store with the inventory. The buyers’ agents have the buyers with the money to buy our product.  There’s no point in stocking the shelves, if there are no buyers.  This process cannot be one sided.

The value of a good buyers’ agent is worth his/her weight in gold, in my book.  My team cannot do without them, and there is always a need for a well versed buyers’ agent in the real estate business.  If listing skills are not working well for you, and not everyone is destined to become a listing agent, then you should enroll in an ABR designation course, and work with buyers as a buyers’ agent.  My team members are always happy to hear from a buyers’ agent.  You’re our ticket for that direct flight to the closing table!!!

After living in Walpole, MA for many years, our family was transferred to the west coast when I was a senior in high school. In 1983, I graduated from Mission San Jose High School in Fremont, California. I am also a 1987 graduate of Providence College with a major in liberal arts and a minor in business administration. I bring to the table many years of sales experience beginning with thirteen years in Corporate Sales at Delta Air Lines. I'm the mother of three children and I'm very active within the Franklin, MA community. I am also a cancer survivor and support the American Cancer Society Charities.

My husband and I have built five homes and I've lived in a variety of other locations including Toronto Canada, Irving Texas and my current home in Franklin, MA. As a result of all my moving around, I came to the conclusion that I was an expert at moving...why not become an expert on the other side of the table? I earned my real estate license in 2004 and believe that I have found my true niche'. I can empathize with my clients on a variety of levels; whether they are buying or selling. And, like so many other good realtors out there, I believe that possessing good communication skills is one of the many keys to success.
