Broker/Owners Can Help Their Own Cause…..But Do They???

RE/MAX Executive Realty provides mentoring and direction whenever I need it.  Either Bill Wright the broker/owner or Barbara Todaro, the sales manager are always available to when needed.

Via Barbara Todaro (RE/MAX Executive Realty in Franklin, Ma):

How much involvement should a broker/owner have in the plan and future direction of an agent?  I saw a comment in my last post titled “Every Day Is Game Day in the Real Estate Business” and it really hit home with me.  Thinking back to my early years in this business, I would have had a much easier time of organizing my business and planning for the future, if I had worked for a broker/owner who gave guidance and provided mentoring.

Broker/owners have many roles and their level of risk and liability in their business is to the nth degree.  It makes sense that brokers have a handle on and some participation in the design and direction of each of their agent’s plan to work in this business.  Most agents do not have a plan because they don’t know where to start or how to create one.  Just some simple discussion may initiate enough energy to spark some thought with that agent.

Just as ability and level of intelligence vary widely from one agent to another, so, too, will their plans for the future and their amount of production for the benefit of themselves and the brokerage firm.  It would be reasonable for the Broker/owner to dedicate some time to meet one on one with each agent and assist in creating a plan of attack.  It’s just another way to win this battle, survive the market conditions and strengthen your business.

In 1983, I graduated from Mission San Jose High School in Fremont, California. I am also a 1987 graduate of Providence College with a major in liberal arts and a minor in business administration. I bring to the table many years of sales experience beginning with thirteen years in Corporate Sales at Delta Air Lines. I'm the mother of three children and I'm very active within the Franklin, MA community. I am also a cancer survivor and support the American Cancer Society Charities.

My husband and I have built five homes and I've lived in a variety of other locations including Toronto Canada, Irving Texas and my current home in Franklin, MA. As a result of all my moving around, I came to the conclusion that I was an expert at moving...why not become an expert on the other side of the table? I earned my real estate license in 2004 and believe that I have found my true niche'. I can empathize with my clients on a variety of levels; whether they are buying or selling. And, like so many other good realtors out there, I believe that possessing good communication skills is one of the many keys to success.
